Murder Mystery Musical Theatre Workshop
Join us for an exciting day of intrigue and drama! This full-day workshop will immerse young performers in the thrilling world of murder mysteries while they participate in their very own whodunit.
Date: Tuesday 12th August
Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Ages: 11-18 years
Participants will receive their character role ahead of time and are encouraged to come up with a fun costume to wear on the day!
Throughout the day, participants will:
- Explore the history of murder mysteries through popular plays
- Study extracts from classics like The Mousetrap and The Play That Goes Wrong
- Take on their assigned character role in our workshop mystery
- Watch as workshop members mysteriously "fall victim" throughout the day
- Participate in detective work and gather clues
- Perform a short murder mystery extract
Students should bring:
- Costume for their character
- Water bottle
- Packed lunch
Performance: Parents and guardians are invited to return at 2:40pm for a short sharing session where students will present their murder mystery extract and reveal who the murderer was!
No prior performance experience necessary - just bring enthusiasm and creativity! All abilities welcome.
